The Credit Review Group provides the Board of Directors with independent assurance of credit quality across American Express by evaluating credit decisions and identifying emerging risks to preserve credit quality, capital strength and overall safety and soundness.

Reporting to the Manager Assistant, the Sr. Analyst, Risk Management will contribute to the operational strategy and execution that underpin the Credit Review team’s success. This role helps optimize processes, strengthen controls, and ensure the team is positioned to meet its strategic goals and regulatory expectations with excellence.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Executive & Team Management Support

  • Track and report on training progress across the Credit Review team, including training offerings, participation, and hours completed.

  • Maintain Credit Review SharePoint site structure, documentation standards, and user access.

  • Support audit preparation requests in partnership with the Manager Assistant.

Committee & Regulatory Reporting

  • Coordinate and collect materials for Committee and Regulatory meetings.

  • Ensure consistency, completeness, and timely delivery of reporting packages.

Capacity & Project Management

  • Drive timesheet compliance and maintain related reporting.

  • Support workforce planning insights and operational rhythm activities.

  • Own and optimize deliverable templates for streamlined future usage.

  • Maintain a review status tracker and monitor progress against milestones.

Control Management

  • Execute tactical responsibilities for RCSA implementation and contribute to control documentation.

Business Continuity Management

  • Serve as Business Continuity Coordinator for the Credit Review Group, attending monthly meetings and required trainings.

  • Executive BIA, BCP, and BCE activities in partnership with BCM stakeholders.

Global Supply Management / Third Party Lifecycle Management

  • Track third party vendor spend against Statements of Work (SOWs).

  • Prepare and submit procurement requests on behalf of the Manager Assistant.

  • Manage vendor invoicing, ensuring correct submission, timely payments, and complete documentation.

Governance & Policy Management

  • Monitor and track update requests for Credit Review Policy, Procedures, and Standards.

  • Support updates, version control, and documentation improvements.

Credit Review Execution Support

  • Test adherence to credit policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory expectations.

  • Maintain workpaper documentation standards and support quality control reviews.

  • Contribute to issue write-ups and evidence gathering for findings.

  • Support data collection, trend analysis, and dashboard/report development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field.

  • Foundational understanding of industry regulations and commercial credit risk management.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret financial data and exercise sound judgment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of credit risk review experience.

  • Familiarity with internal control frameworks, RCSA, or operational risk management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data visualization tools.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually bonus benefits
