Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Deliver UI localization projects with the highest quality, including planning and coordinating the projects with other external and internal team members. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to plan new feature launches internationally with EPMs, Product, HI/Design, UX Editorial, US QA, Legal, Marketing, etc. Provide localization strategy, LOE and participate in weekly cross-functional meetings to exchange updates, status, progress and any blockersand feedback on projects. Access comps from Design/HI and turn them into Mapping docs as needed on AMP or QA plans. Create and update project-specific planners for proper Project Management and Capacity Planning. Work with translation vendors on deliverables and deadlines, and maintaining various internal databases. Oversee prioritization, creation, and maintenance of QA plans to work with and support testers while performing bug tracking, troubleshooting, and resolution. Coordinate with key partners such as developers/engineers, QA team members, EPMs, and many more. Communicating risks, issues, and priorities to deliver high-quality localized UIs on time. Communicate project status to stakeholders and identify gaps or inefficiencies in tools. Participate in tooling improvements, participate in design meetings, filing radars, and getting feedback from other LPMs/teams, etc. Investigate new tools or processes from other teams and drive improvements. Identify and manage schedule risks. 40 hours/week.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. *Employer will accept a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent.

  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) in Croatian.

  • Experience in localization, including identifying localization issues, guiding developers in implementing localization solutions, and creating detailed locationalization documents (including key mapping documents and test plans).

  • Working with localization QA testers to execute test plans

  • Identifying best localization strategies on new and current brands.

  • Identifying gaps and inefficiencies in tools and processes.

  • Project management experience, including leading prioritization and project decision-making, ensuring timely deliveries of UI features, and covering localization QA of UI flows.

  • Experience in software quality assurance, incuding creating test cases to perform E2E testing, and troubleshooting automations scripts, using international tools such as PyCharm.

  • Triaging radars, assigning layouts, and fixing linguistic issues.
