We're seeking an exceptional iOS/watchOS developer to join our Sensing Software team. You will use your practical knowledge and experience with computer science and iOS development while working closely with data science and data engineering to enable a number of new experiences.

Description
As part of the Sensing Software team, you’ll contribute to core initiatives involving cameras, sensors, and health technologies. You will design and build iOS/watchOS applications that support research studies and user-facing experiences, forming the foundation of future Apple product features. You'll collaborate across hardware, software, and data science teams to deliver highly polished and innovative solutions. We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent field
3+ years of software development experience, with proficiency in Swift
Strong knowledge of Apple development platforms & frameworks (e.g. UIKit, SwiftUI, CoreFoundation, or Cocoa Touch)
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of software development experience, especially with Swift 6 and the evolving Swift ecosystem
Proven track record of building and deploying high-quality iOS/watchOS applications on the App Store
Proficient with essential tools such as Xcode and Instruments for debugging and performance analysis
Deep understanding of performance, power efficiency, scalability, and reliability on iOS
Solid foundation in object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and design patterns (MVC)
Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and building end-to-end solutions
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and optimization skills
Passion for learning and adopting new technologies
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Objective-C and legacy Cocoa frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Familiarity with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for Apple platforms
Background in building large-scale, user-facing applications
Experience working with motion and biometric sensor data (e.g., accelerometer, heart rate)
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
