We are seeking a hardworking and highly motivated LED Device Engineer with strong technical background on semiconductor devices to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical and optical performance analysis of LED devices for next-generation display.
Description
Conduct thorough electrical and optical characterization of LED devices for efficiency, color, thermal behavior and reliability
Analyze test data and provide feedback to design and process teams for device improvement; generate comprehensive technical reports and documentations
Design and implement reliability test protocols, analyze degradation mechanisms and propose corrective actions to improve
Collaborate with multi-functional teams including optical, electrical, mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration with final product
Troubleshoot and resolve display-related issues during the product development lifecycle
Minimum Qualifications
PhD degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Photonics, or a related field
Experience with optoelectronic characterization techniques and tools
Experience interpreting complex data and communicate findings clearly to broader teams
Experience using statistical tools (JMP, etc.) and programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
Technical expertise in III-V semiconductor device physics, e.g., LEDs, lasers, photodetectors or a related field
Exposure to reliability testing and failure analysis of LEDs or similar semiconductor devices
Experience with cleanroom fabrication processes
Critical thinking and trouble shooting skills
Ability to facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration
Experience to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Ability to own areas of responsibility, being able to self-motivate
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
