DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Inventory Control Manager to join our team specializing in Logistics onsite in Memphis, TN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Driving Project Success : By leading multiple projects from inception to completion, you will ensure that each project meets its objectives and delivers value to the organization.

  • Effective Planning : Facilitating project planning sessions with internal stakeholders will help define clear project scopes and objectives, setting a strong foundation for successful project execution.

  • Goal Alignment : Working with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals will ensure that projects align with business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Proactive Issue Resolution : Identifying, tracking, and collaborating with others to resolve project issues will minimize disruptions and keep projects on track.

  • Transparent Communication : Monitoring and communicating project status to the project team and stakeholders will foster transparency and keep everyone informed and engaged.

  • Risk Management : Using quality tools to identify and manage project risks will help mitigate potential issues and ensure project stability.

  • Knowledge Sharing : Documenting and sharing team learnings will promote continuous improvement and leverage collective knowledge for future projects.

  • Team Development : Guiding and coaching team members, providing developmental feedback, and ensuring appropriate resource allocation will enhance team performance and project outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Planning and Alignment : Prioritize and plan work to meet commitments that are aligned with organizational goals, ensuring efficient project execution.

  • Issue and Risk Management : Identify, assess, and prioritize project issues and risks, using recommended tools and disciplines to minimize negative impacts and maximize positive outcomes.

  • Resource Management : Develop and manage resource plans, including expenses and headcount, to ensure effective use of resources throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Schedule Management : Use schedule management tools and processes to keep the project on track and ensure timely completion.

  • Scope Management : Manage project deliverables to ensure all required work is completed and unnecessary work is avoided, maintaining focus on project objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Demonstrated role competence is required.

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in applicable field is preferred.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage $255M physical inventory accuracy across all operations areas at Memphis Distribution Center and off-site locations.

  • Oversee inventory control program including cycle counting, cycle bin research, and inventory shrink analysis.

  • Manage and improve part profiling, warehouse space utilization, slotting, and replenishment process.

  • Engage with stakeholders including Finance, Quality, and Cummins internal control team to meet compliance requirements such as ISO audit, internal & external audits.
