Job Description

Management of functional and strategic leadership of AbbVie’s global artwork development business and core leader in the Global Label Management leadership team. This position is responsible to lead several internal and external artwork development and proofreading teams across AbbVie’s global commercial product labeling and US promotional labeling. Ensures assurance of supply and compliance to content for new product launches, safety updates and other core labeling programs. Shared responsibility in a matrix organization for definition of the vision, mission, and the strategic goals/related business plans for Global Label Management in Operations Quality

  • Manages external 3rd party graphics development service providers and continually evaluates right organizational and workload set up for graphics development.

  • Collaborates with Commercial operations to optimize the US promotional labeling process.

  • Assesses current operating model and provides strategic recommendations on future state process and organizational set up.

  • Manages multiple AbbVie labeling locations and takes pro-active steps to avoid label errors, identifies process opportunities, develops, and implements corrective actions to address issues and communicates to internal or external stakeholders where applicable.

  • Development and achievement of goals, policies, and programs directed toward key performance indicators for on time implementation, right first time and accurate content of labeling changes.

  • Develops, maintains, and implements comprehensive business processes for global label change management including, but not limited to graphics development, promotional labeling, 3D rendering, proofreading and new product design.

  • Develops and implement GLM’s staffing model including hiring, training, coaching, and career development

  • Provides leadership including supervisor/management responsibilities, budgeting, resource requirement, training needs for direct and/or indirect reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business or Supply Chain plus have significant business and product leadership experience in a Supply Chain, Regulatory or Quality environment. MBA or higher education preferred

  • 12+ years of extensive experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Regulatory and/or Packaging and Labeling. Understands Regulatory, Quality and Supply chain aspects that impact Labeling

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical, Device, Device/Combo Products, specifically regulations and standards affecting the Packaging and Labeling Quality System.

  • Proactive verbal and written communication style at all levels.

  • Strong leadership presence and solution driven style.

  • Proven success in leading effective teams and fostering collaboration across organizational

    boundaries

  • Strong interpersonal, managerial, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and facilitate a high performing team

  • Ability to create strategy and establish roadmaps to achieve key organizational objectives
