Summary
The Health Sensing HW team develops groundbreaking health sensors that are central to helping our customers live a healthier lifestyle.
We are looking for a data engineer with a desire to innovate in the space of optical sensors and health sensing features, with a passion for data pipelines/infrastructure and software development. You will develop system models of one or more health sensors to assess the performance of the sensor and inform design decisions. You will create tools to consume data from cloud-based databases, run data quality analyses, and root cause outliers. You will also be responsible for building tools to streamline the data analyses with existing DL/ML algorithms. You will work closely with internal and cross-functional teams to tackle challenges involving sensors, algorithms, and user behavior, and you will play a key role in developing and quantifying the performance of hardware solutions to enable optical sensing features.
Description
The team you will join is responsible for designing and delivering health features for Apple's wearable devices. We are highly collaborative and partner with a variety of teams across Apple.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience writing, debugging, and maintaining computer simulation code with strong software development skills, with proficiency in Python.
Experience developing data analytics systems for early-stage projects to help team learn about unknown dependencies.
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with unit test development.
Collaborative and willing to work in cross-functional fast-paced technology development.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
