Description
As a member of our team, you will be applying your hardware engineering expertise and working with cross-functional teams to architect product from concept to mass production.
A hardware system engineer is expected to solve challenging engineering problems. They will be selecting components and providing tradeoff studies, developing with internal/external silicon, designing schematics, working closely with layout engineers. They will define test criteria and perform validation and debug on prototypes. We travel domestically and internationally. We bring up our product on site overseas and work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure success of our product. We work with our cross functional partners in Apple at different office locations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience in hardware systems design.
Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
Ability to identify design tradeoffs and optimize circuits to meet product requirements.
Utilizes schematic capture, simulation tools. Provides guidance to PCB Engineer and reviews layout.
Uses electrical equipment to validate design and debug complex electrical failures.
Demonstrated success in a fast-paced design environment and a proven ability to multi task and self prioritize work load.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
In depth knowledge of systems with CPU/SoCs, Power, analog/digital, audio, wireless integration, sensors, RF, battery, audio systems, programmable logic.
Experience developing high volume consumer electronic product from concept to mass production and working with contract manufacturers.
Understands schematic/PCB constraints and has worked on complicated rigid/flex/SiP designs.
Highly skilled with DMMs, electronic loads, power suppliers, oscilloscopes, battery simulators, spectrum analyzers
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
