Description

In this role, you will serve as an Engineering Program Manager for the Security Training & Outreach team, owning programs that deliver technical security education at scale. You will lead cross-functional planning, define requirements, and coordinate engineering and security contributors to build accurate, high-quality training materials. Your responsibilities include reviewing technical content, driving curriculum development, and supporting the broader Security Champions ecosystem. You will help spread a strong security culture across ASE by empowering developers with the knowledge and resources to build securely and enable greater security self sufficiency. A key part of the role will be scaling security uplift and adoption efforts through targeted outreach campaigns and technical materials that meet teams where they are. You’ll apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure training initiatives address real security challenges and deliver measurable impact. This role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to influence without authority, and a deep understanding of technical domains to keep programs aligned to strategic security priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing technical projects or programs, preferably in a security domain.

  • 2+ years of experience working in training, education or Security Champions program.

  • Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in managing complex projects, including defining scopes, setting timelines, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Training: Experience designing, delivering or managing, technical trainings programs.

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Build trust and influence: Experience with fostering collaboration, and influencing stakeholders without direct authority to achieve program objectives.

  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and to review, edit, and refine technical or training content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to assess complex security challenges and develop innovative solutions to address them.

  • Drive what matters: Able to focus and simplify, balancing the details with goals, priorities, and trade-offs in mind.

  • Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of software development, systems engineering, or related technical fields to effectively understand and cooperative develop the curriculum.

  • Proven history of building or scaling a security education program.

  • Experience with cloud security.
