We are looking for a Software QA manager to help ensure our Health experience is rock-solid and customer-focused. We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying critical software and the frameworks that support it during all stages of software development. We practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering, Project Management, and QA.
Description
As a key leader on the team, you’ll have the opportunity to have a direct hand in crafting the next advancements in Apple’s health software ecosystem. We work on the Health app—a platform for Health and Fitness efforts across Apple—as well as related features and experiences that broaden the definition of what our platform can do. You will work with experienced engineers, designers, and medical experts to architect features that delight users as well as form a solid technical foundation for future development. In this position, you will need to be self-directed, creative, and comfortable with change and ambiguity. Excellent engineering, collaboration, and leadership skills are all essential.
Responsibilities
Leading, mentoring, and hiring independent, highly effective quality engineers
Overseeing development of comprehensive feature test plans
Accurately scoping the effort and work items required to complete large feature projects
Representing the team in technical and project meetings while evangelizing our values
Partnering with engineering managers to ensure features are designed for testability
Shipping new health-related features across Apple platforms that meet or exceed our high standards for quality
Forging collaborative relationships with a wide variety of cross-functional teams to prototype ideas, develop plans, and make product and design decisions
Assisting direct reports in proper Scoping and prioritization of testing deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications
At least five years of experience working in Software Quality Assurance, two of which are in a lead or management role
Proven track record of driving effective cross-functional decision making and alignment
Experience testing and delivering high-quality applications or frameworks
Demonstrated passion for developing great user experiences
Ability to understand and break down large features into manageable pieces
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
