Description
Are you a musician or recording engineer? Do you use GarageBand, Logic or Voice Memos already? Put that expertise to work testing Apple’s industry-leading sound and music creation apps. Join the Audio and Music Apps team where everyone’s a musician
Our team practices fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between developers, testers, and product design. This position requires a highly self-motivated person with strong technical and communication skills. Excellent bug isolation and reporting skills, attention to detail and being a critical thinker are requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 3 years manual QA experience
Experience with audio recording technology and principles
Experience with Apple hardware running iOS, macOS and watchOS
Thorough understanding of the application development life-cycle
Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills
An enthusiasm for user-focused design and high-quality products
Adaptable and comfortable in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years experience testing both iOS and macOS devices
Advanced musical audio production skills using leading industry DAWs
Proficient with Python, shell scripting
Experience in designing, writing, deploying, and monitoring automated test suites
Ability to independently problem solve, research, and adapt while learning new technologies
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
