Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Engage with cross-functional teams across various sites to design and build scalable/performant design specification solutions and to drive and document best practices in data modeling and web client development. Develop client-side web interfaces leveraging JavaScript, React, and GraphQL-based communication with the backend server. Develop and maintain web server network using Python FastAPI, Django, etc., as well as JavaScript NodeJS. Maintain CI/CD pipeline for testing and deploying new code images using systems like TeamCity, GitLab, and Artifactory. Provide engineers access to hardware/software interface data using the web server as a proxy with proper authentication and authorization leveraging internal systems and standard mechanisms such as JWT. Work with relational, document, key/value, and graph DBMS database technologies. Enhance schemas and data storage techniques to scale over time. Automate all the things identify, own, collaborate, and drive new or further automation to enhance the quality of communication of interface and specification information across teams. Support and improve the Hardware Technology hardware/software interface from design through deployment, including additional refinement and scale-up to support future growth. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,679 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mobile Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 1 year of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilizing JavaScript to implement web interfaces to access hardware/software interface data

  • Using continuous integration tools, such as TeamCity, to deploy high-quality software updates

  • Using graph database technologies to store large amounts of highly connected data

  • Utilizing Python web frameworks to develop server-side data management APIs

  • Using Java/Kotlin languages to develop and maintain highly configurable automated pipelines for data processing

  • Using software debuggers for Python and Kotlin to triage and fix client/server issues

  • Understanding GraphQL libraries in multiple languages to provide server-side API access to databases

  • Using GitHub/GitLab for source code management and co-development collaboration

  • Utilizing containerization technologies, including Docker, to manage and deploy services

  • Utilizing testing frameworks, such as Pytest, to maintain test suites with high coverage
