As the Vision Module Validation Lead, you will lead the functional team that identifies the critical architectural requirements and validates the delivery specifications for our modules! You will be responsible for making sure our metrics and limits can deliver the high quality expected of our products and that unnecessary requirements are removed, with the aim of delivering quality modules at accessible price points to our users. You are expected to push for simplicity, cut through ambiguity and drive what matters in a complex multi-functional environment.

Description

Your team will be responsible for the following:

  • Metrology & Metrics - assess, create and develop the best solutions to characterize & measure the performance of our modules

  • Verification - measurement verification of the design simulations

  • Validation - validation of user driven requirements & validation delivery specification relative to impact to user

  • Evaluation - benchmarking our modules between revisions and comparable alternatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or equivalent, and a minimum of 10 years experience in a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in the validation & testing of optical systems

  • Experience with Python or Matlab

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S./PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering or equivalent field and 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience leading the testing & validation of display and/or ophthalmic lens systems

  • Expert knowledge of industry standards for testing and specifying ophthalmic lens systems

  • Experience developing specifications and/or requirements for optical systems with a focus on end-use case

  • Hands on prototype development of ophthalmic systems

  • Optical and opto-mechanical design of ophthalmic devices

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in the communication of technical concepts to a cross-functional team as well as leadership

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a large group of engineers

  • Demonstrated ability to drive & meet key project targets

  • Proactive, self-motivated engineer who can take the initiative and lead improvement

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
