Job Description
As an AbbVie Procurement Intern, you will participate in a paid, ten-to-twelve-week summer program working on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide. AbbVie’s global Procurement business offers you an opportunity to work in a variety of functions based on your degree type.
For this internship, AbbVie is seeking a motivated and dynamic intern to join the Procurement Strategy & Capabilities team. This role will focus on exciting and innovative projects in the Procurement Risk and Procurement Analytics space.

Project Overview:
Assist in the development and implementation of programs aimed at classifying supplier risks within the procurement landscape.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to link existing systems and data pools, supporting seamless integration across procurement functions.
Assist in procurement analytics projects by gathering and analyzing data to support scenario modeling for risk and compliance initiatives.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions focused on innovative solutions for procurement challenges.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in university, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, supply chain management, or related major.
Proficiency in programming languages and tools, including Python, MATLAB, SQL, Pyspark or Power BI.
Must be enrolled in university the semester following your internship
Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e., extracurricular activities or projects)
Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2027.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in procurement strategies.
Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal skills
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and project management skills
Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity
