The IS&T (Information Systems and Technology) organization at Apple builds and maintains mission critical applications and services that support Apple customers, employees, partners, and products worldwide. IS&T’s Legal and Global Security Solutions (LGSS) Team is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join its engineering organization where you will work with a very hardworking team of software engineers and product managers to build scalable and secure solutions that empower Apple’s legal, security and compliance functions.

Description

Your responsibilities will include all aspects of software development from architecture and system design to implementation and maintenance. This role requires a highly skilled and adaptable engineer who thrives in an ambiguous environment and takes ownership of project delivery from inception to deployment. The ideal candidate will collaborate across teams, drive innovation while implementing features aligned with our product roadmap.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable and secure web applications

  • Work with functional leads, business stakeholders, project managers and technical teams in a
    cross-functional environment to understand requirements and implement solutions

  • Provide level-of-effort estimations based on thorough research, code study and work
    prioritization to advise stakeholders of progress and delivery timelines

  • Perform and ensure thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality code

  • Identify root causes of complex technical issues and deliver robust fixes

  • Participate in operational duty rotations when needed to resolve production issues and critical
    customer escalations

  • Drive innovation for new and existing solutions through Generative AI and other AI/ML
    techniques

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years in software development experience in Java with a strong understanding of object-oriented concepts and design

  • Experienced in both frontend, backend development with relational and non-relational databases

  • Experience in building and maintaining large-scale software systems, with a keen eye for scalability, efficiency, and robustness

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI/ML algorithms and frameworks with experience in integrating AI/ML concepts into software design and implementation

  • Knowledge of cloud data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake is highly valued

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and CI/CD tools

  • Working experience with Agile development methodologies

  • Hands-on experience working with Unix operating system
