Summary

Join us in building the ML platform that enables teams at Apple to build Apple Intelligence and many other intelligent experiences across hardware, software and service products!

We are looking for a front-end facing full stack software engineer who’s passionate about ML tooling. The ideal candidate has solid full stack development skills on web, mobile or desktop app development, passion in the fine details of UX, and a track record of building and shipping applications. You will be working closely with a world-class ML infra and platform team to build tooling and enable faster integration of bringing ML ideas into Apple products.

Description

Our group is part of Apple’s internal ML platform that enables ML teams to manage ML project life cycle - data engineering, labeling, training, online and offline evaluation, experimentation and more.

Within our group, you and your team will be collaborating closely with design, backend infrastructure, ML engineering and project management teams to brainstorm, prototype and bring features into production. You and your team will take full ownership of both web frontend and backend.

This position may be based in Seattle or Raleigh.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining rich web applications for data intensive systems.

  • Deep knowledge in frontend (TypeScript, React, Angular etc), backend & middleware (GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL databases, ElasticSearch, Kafka etc)

  • Good sense of design and passion for UX and developer experience.

  • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, K8s etc) is a plus but is not required.

  • Proven track record of delivering high impact projects through partnership across organization boundaries with product, design and infrastructure teams.

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate about technical and architectural problems and work with key partners to iteratively solve the problems.

  • Experience in machine learning is a plus but not required.

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in machine learning tools and / or development

  • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, K8s etc) is a plus

  • Golang experience

  • Good sense of design and passion for UX and developer experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
