We are a critical partner in Apple's success, enabling innovation and efficiency across the enterprise.

Description

Apple IS&T is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director for Finance Technology Solutions. This strategic leadership role is pivotal in shaping the future of Apple's financial operations by driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge IT solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the technology strategy and delivery for multiple finance functions across our global enterprise, ensuring alignment with Apple’s strategic objectives and maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and efficiency.

As a key leader within IS&T, you will act as the primary representative for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Finance within IS&T, making critical decisions on solution prioritization and resource allocation. You will champion innovation, particularly leveraging Generative AI, to transform how IS&T supports Finance, drastically reducing manual effort and fostering a culture of re-use and standardization. This role requires a deep understanding of financial processes and regulatory compliance, as well as a proven track record of delivering impactful technology solutions on a global scale.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 8+ years focused on delivering technology solutions for Finance organizations in a large, global enterprise.

  • Proven experience at a Director level or equivalent, managing complex portfolios of projects and leading significant technology transformations.

  • Deep expertise in financial processes (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, Revenue Recognition, Cost Accounting).

  • Exceptional understanding of SOX compliance, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and the role of IS&T in audit readiness and ongoing compliance.

  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging emerging technologies, particularly Generative AI, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics, to drive business value and automation within a finance context.

  • Strong background and hands-on experience with enterprise-level ERP systems, specifically SAP S/4HANA, and proficiency with data warehousing and analytics platforms such as Snowflake, data science platforms like Dataiku, and traditional relational databases like Oracle RDBMS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS) or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, PMP, TOGAF) are highly preferred.

  • Outstanding strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex business challenges into effective technology strategies.

  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders across all levels of the organization, globally.

  • Proven ability to manage TCO, prioritize initiatives, and make tough decisions that balance short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic, and innovative environment.

  • A global mindset, with experience in managing solutions that cater to both worldwide standards and regional specificities.
